Our Energy. Our Future. Our Power.
Campaigning to make sure people in Scotland get a fair share of the country’s renewable energy wealth.

WHAT's THE PROBLEM?
Scotland has a wealth of renewable energy, but we don’t feel richer for it.
Communities are seeing wind turbines go up – but profits going elsewhere. Workers were promised jobs from the move to clean energy – but too many are still waiting.
HOW TO PUT IT RIGHT
We can build an energy system that brings more wealth to the country and communities and creates more opportunities for workers and businesses.
The next Scottish government has the power to make this happen.
What we need from the Scottish government

More wealth
We’d all be better off with a stake in our energy – from national public shares in renewables, to council-run wind farms funding services, to communities benefiting from energy projects they control.
We're calling on the Scottish government to guarantee public ownership nationally and locally.

More opportunities
Scotland has everything it needs to win big from the energy transition – a proud industrial heritage, skilled workforce, and world-class renewables. But we’re missing out, with too much work going elsewhere, partly because we lack manufacturers.
We're calling for public investment to build offshore wind manufacturing and create jobs.
Imagine if we could
Keep the Wealth
Ireland, Denmark and Sweden all have public stakes in renewables and stand to profit more from ScotWind than Scots. We could benefit too, if we do the same.
Support communities
In Aberdeenshire, Community owned wind is funding affordable homes for locals, and in Orkney it's boosting council services. Why not do the same across Scotland?
Create good jobs
The increase in wind energy could create a thriving manufacturing base in Scotland and deliver thousands of promised jobs for workers - instead of relying on imports.
